Rye Rye to Perform During the Damon Albarn’s Africa Express Tour

Baltimore’s Rye Rye is slated to perform during the Damon Albarn’s Africa Express Tour next month in England.  This tour consists traveling by train and performing impromtu gigs in railway stations in addition to performing at traditional venues.  It’s interesting that this tour is called the African Express, but it’s not being performed in Africa.  Please see below for tour locations and dates:

Middlesbrough Town Hall (Middlesbrough) – September 3
The Arches (Glasgow) – September 4
The Ritz (Manchester) – September 5
Solus (Cardiff) – September 6
The Big Top @ Creative Common (Bristol) – September 7
Granary Square at Kings Cross (London) – September 8

Rye Rye to Headline Boston Pride Festival

Queen Latifah is not the only femme MC to headline a Pride festival this year!

Baltimore native Rye Rye is scheduled to headline Boston’s Pride Festival this year along with Alexis Jordan and Kerli.  The Boston Pride Festival with take place on Saturday, June 9th from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Boston’s City Hall Plaza.  The Festival will feature entertainment, the Family Zone, the Main Stage Lounge, Artisan Avenue and over 100 vendors .
