A little late on this one, so please forgive me. Last week, Azealia Banks took to Twitter to announce the release of her upcoming mixtape, Fantastic. Fantastic is set to release after Banks’ 1991 EP, but before the release of her debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, which is due out in September.
Remember when Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter account and stated that she wasn’t sure if she would return to Twitter? It looks like she changed her mind. Yesterday afternoon, Ms. Minaj decided to sign back on to Twitter. Who knows if this is a temporary move or a permanent one given that she was very active on Twitter prior to deleting her account.

During her UK publicity tour, Nicki Minaj sat down with Tim Westwood of the Tim Westwood Show from the BBC and Graham Norton of The Graham Norton Show to discuss the meaning of “Beez In The Trap,” the no-so-great reception of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, her unwillingness to rejoin Twitter, thoughts of early retirement, and more. Check out both of the interviews below.
As pointed out here, Azealia Banks plans to release her 212 EP. Azealia recently tweeted about two unreleased tracks that will be on 212:
“Ep will feature two new tracks. Both entitled ‘1991’ & ‘Grand Prix.”
Be on the lookout for 212.
Nicki Minaj took to Twitter yesterday to reveal some details about her upcoming release, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Nicki provided information to her fans when they used the hashtag “#AyoNicki.”
Coming off her rant about Iggy Azalea, Azealia Banks took to Twitter again to hint at a collaboration in works with M.IA. Here’s what she had to say:
“Also got something cooking with @MIAuniverse !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I’m not sure whether or not this collaboration will be featured on Banks’ debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, which may be released in September.
It looks as though some folks are dismayed that XXL chose Iggy Azalea has the first female to be included in one of their “freshman” classes.
